MSNBC just put up a tag at the bottom of the screen that said "Lesion

It's always about him. Bill Clinton all the time. Get the hook.

This is a relatively common form of skin cancer, 800,000 to 1 million cases
a year," Siewert said. "The lesion was removed, so while the
president, it can be said, had skin cancer, that has been removed and he no
longer has it."

One qualifier: basal cell carcinoma, once it occurs, frequently re-occurs
(is that redundant?). And, it can develop into melanoma.

You should all be F@cking ashamed of yourselves. This thread has got
to go. You hate the man so much that you rejoice at his having cancer? You make
me sick.
FReepers should be praying that the man changes his heart before he goes to
face his Judge, a judge who will definitely not recuse Himself and who will
deliver a decisive, just verdict.

Basal cell carcinomas are 95+% curable with surgical excision or radiation
(which is usually reserved for those on the face where the cosmetic result is
important). Even when incompletely excised, the recurrence rate is about
35-40%. Basal cell carcinomas do not convert into melanomas.

Rejoicing? Hardly! I'm cursing the fact that the cancer didn't occur on his
bent penis and was so malignant it had spread to every vital organ in his
yellow, vile, traitorous, lying, raping, redneck, mass-murdering,
draft-dodging, cocaine-snorting, commie-coveting, corruption-covering,
scandal-ridden, bloated body! (And May God forgive my unabashed hatred of this

Clinton had a small skin lesion removed. It's hardly the stuff of gravity.
If there were evidence of the disease more advanced, it could have been. It's
simply another attempt to make Clinton an empathetic figure. Soon it'll be said
that we can't prosecute a man with "this" disease. Get the barf
buckets ready my freinds. Ala Alan Cranston and Jim Guy Tucker, here's comes
the quivering lip squad.
As for Clinton having cancer, I don't think we elevate ourselves by wishing
that on anyone. We should certainly desire and expect jail terms for his
crimes, but God can and will provide any further justice when the time comes.

Abstract
Chronic herpesvirus infections are common in patients infected with HIV.
Atypical skin lesions secondary to long-standing varicella-zoster virus (VZV)
infection have been reported. We present a case of an AIDS patient with a
chronic VZV infection that simulated a basal cell carcinoma. Histologic
examination and immunohistochemistry confirmed the presence of the virus in the
follicular epithelium. In the immunocompromised patient, biopsies should be
performed on all suspicious lesions because medically-treatable infections may
take on the appearance of malignancy.
Chronic Varicella Zoster Infection Mimicking a Basal Cell Carcinoma in an
AIDS Patient.
Tsao H; Tahan SR; Johnson RA J Am Acad Dermatol, 1997 May, 36:5 Pt 2, 831-3
Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To describe the types of skin cancer associated with the acquired
immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). DESIGN: A literature review of AIDS-related
mucocutaneous neoplasms, including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell
carcinoma, bowenoid papulosis and Bowen's disease, squamous cell carcinoma,
cloacogenic carcinoma, and malignant melanoma, is presented, and the incidence,
etiopathogenesis, clinicopathologic features, treatment, and prognosis are
discussed.
RESULTS: The association between cutaneous neoplasms and AIDS is well known.
Neoplasms seem to grow more rapidly and be more invasive in patients with AIDS
than in other groups of patients. Several oncogenic factors--for example,
sunlight exposure or human papillomavirus infection--have been associated with
the development of skin cancer in these patients. The morbidity and mortality
rates of skin cancer are higher in patients infected with the human
immunodeficiency virus (HIV) than in the general population. Early and complete
excision of the neoplasm is especially important.
CONCLUSION: A link exists between AIDS and the development of skin cancer.
HIV-infected patients should be followed up vigilantly for early diagnosis of
skin cancer. Because these patients are less able to suppress common cutaneous
malignant disease due to their immunocompromised status, biopsy specimens
should be obtained from all suspicious lesions, and histopathologic assessment
should be done.
Skin Cancers Associated with Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome.

The man is scum. If he died today, the world would instantly be a better
place. Your sympathies would be better directed towards a worthy recipient. Not
some vile piece of dirt that would have you killed in an instant if it
benefited him politically.

Suspicious cancerous lesion found on Clinton's back
I just heard on WABC News that it was an old lesion and had already been

the lime light away from Bush. What a pig.

Also solid organ transplant patients who are on immunosuppressive drugs for
the rest of their lives are at high risk for skin cancers. THey also tend to
behave more aggressively than the garden variety basal cell carcinoma.

I fully agree. Look, no one despises Clinton personally and politically any
more than I do. My fondest dream would be to see that smirk wiped permanently
off his face and see him on his hands and knees with tears streaming down his
face literally losing control of his bodily functions with mortal terror and
begging not to go to jail. But when we wish the man's death from cancer, we are
no better than the vermin who laugh at President Reagan's Alzheimer's, and we
lose the moral high ground to call those people on it.

You may want to talk to your doctor about chemoprevention. There is
experimental evidence that the new Cox-2 inhibitors for treatment of arthritis
(Celebrex or Vioxx) reduce the incidence of skin cancers in experimental animal
models exposed to heavy doses of UV light. There is human data that shows they
can reduce the risk of pre-malignant colon polyps. These drugs are not FDA
approved for this purpose, but with all your outdoor activities I'd bet you
might have some arthritis. (if you catch my drift) The main drawback to these
drugs is expense.

"I" come here to read the latest news and a bit of commentary
about it.
That being said, even the voices of the most extreme amoung have a right to
be heard! BUT, being joyful, boisterous, or in anyway happy about the REAL
PHYSICAL ILLNESSES of ANY man SHOULD be above us. WE accuse the democRATS /
Liberal press etc of exactly this kind of behaviour and we are APPALLED! Now
the tables have turned and what do we do??? THROW A PARTY!!
Come on, this is too low!
While I would never wish any good for Clinton, I WOULD NEVER wish him any
ill. Clinton is the lowest form of slim ever pumped from a bilge and should
face charges, both here and in the ever after, for EVERYTHING he has ever done!
I and my family will toast his leaving office, we will NOT toast his demise!

While I am saddened that anyone can get skin cancer, I can't help thinking
of that old "Barcelona" song:
They say you got a carcinoma
a lesion on your back.
A basal cell-type carcinoma
which you'd rather lack.
Oh yeah you got a carcinoma
the operation was quite dull
Coulda been a big blastoma
Hidden in your skull
But it's just a carcinoma
a sort-of "Cancer Lite"
just a little carcinoma
keeps you in the spotlight.

Excellent post. Very educational. Also, the Hebrew people knew that skin diseases were the result of the tongue. When Clinton came out with his "demand" that scientist
