Where the people protest, and truth is stranger than fiction...
Where psychic transmissions are broadcast to the masses...
And all the people are really great dancers.
We observe holidays in our very own unique way...
And we have our very own National Anthem.
It is a place to discover things you never knew, like maybe you’ve been black all along...
And a place you can meet family you never even knew you had.
A place where even the very powerful can get the blues...
And you can always change your name if the old one doesn’t fit.
Sometimes we cover breaking crime stories...
And sometimes, we cover government press conferences.
We offer assistance to media addicts trying to get clean...
And we know that some crash diets are just plain UNSAFE.
We know that on Valentine’s Day, true love conquers all.
We borrow from the proud tradition of organized labor...
And we try to improve national math skills and proficiency.
Some people are just plain loopy, so we poke fun at them.
When pessimism reigns, we look in unexpected places for help...
And sometimes we offer support to optimists looking for backup.
Then there are times when we can be just plain silly...
We aren’t so serious that we don’t follow pop culture.
But most of all, MOST of all, we never forget our real President...
We never forget who he really is...
Or that there is always another election just around the corner...
That we won once, and we can do it again!
And last, but not least, Mister President, we miss you...
